Evart DDA/MMS Board Application

Thank you for your interest in joining the Evart Downtown Development Authority (DDA).

These are exciting times in the City of Evart!

In 2018, Evart successfully graduated from the Rising Tide Program as well as becoming a Michigan Main Street (MMS) “Selected” Community. Additionally, Evart is working towards becoming a Certified Redevelopment Ready Community.

Candidates for Evart DDA / MMS Board of Directors must have at least one of the following qualifications:

• Resident of the City of Evart
• Registered voter in the City of Evart
• Have an interest in real property in the DDA district
• Operate a business in the DDA district
• Or as recommended by the DDA Board

Additionally, candidates will be expected to commit to the following:

• Actively serve on one of the four MMS Committees (Organization, Promotion, Economic Vitality or Design)
• Attend at least 80% of DDA / MMS Meetings (Regular Board Meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month starting at 8am)
• Actively participate / volunteer at DDA / MMS events

Applications will be reviewed by the Evart DDA / MMS Board of Directors. Once a successful candidate is identified, a recommendation will be sent to the Evart City Council for approval.
